Experience :
Mr. Abdalla has over twenty years of experience covering a wide spectrum of the upstream functionalities of the oil and gas industry. His focus has primarily been on oil and gas exploration and development over varied tectonic and geologic settings. Mr. Abdalla has worked on both extensional and compress ional tectonic settings with rich experience in both clastics and carbonate sedimentary formations.

Mr. Abdalla started his career in exploration and production working the rift basins of Sudan during the early eighties then he spent eight years working on the oil and gas reservoirs of the Anadarko basin in Oklahoma and Texas Panhandle. He then moved to work the rich and prolific oil fields along the Abu Dhabi carbonate platform in the Arabian Gulf area for over nine years. He joined APCO in April of 2004.

Mr. Abdalla has authored and co-authored over 15 articles in the AAPG Bulletins and Memoirs (see Memoir 61 on Deep Sedimentary Compartments and Seals) as well as GeoArabia and other regional and international scientific magazines. He has presented his work in various international conferences such as the AAPG Hedberg conference in Denver Colorado, 1994, Geo2002 in Manama Bahrain, 10th and 11th ADIPEC in Abu Dhabi and GeoQuest Forum 2001 in Austin Texas.

Mr. Abdalla is an active member of AAPG, SEG, ESG and SPE.
