 Advanced Petroleum Company (APCO) is A joint venture operation company working in the Oil and Gas industry in the Sudan, having an office at   Alamarat St.  33, Khartoum Republic of Sudan. APCO is now seeking qualified candidates to apply for the following vacant positions.

·         Participates in formulating drillable hydrocarbon prospects.

·         Participates in formulating Well proposals.

·         Follow up processing / reprocessing of  acquired seismic data  using geophysical models.

Geophysicist (Seismic Interpreter)

 

A- 09-01

 

BSc Degree in Geology.

Minimum 6-8 years experience as well site geologist of which 3 years in the office 

Able to work with high level consultants.

Skill in knowledge of International standards and models.


 

·         Supervises and leads the Section staff offering technical guidance.

·         Plans the activities of the Geology Section.

·         Participates and ensures adequate gathering / interpretation and appraisal of geological data.

·         Participates with other teams for evaluation of gathered data to build a geological / geophysical model.

·         BSc Degree in Geophysics or Geology.

·         Minimum 6-8 years experience.

Special skills of knowledge of modeling and working with high level consultants on evaluation / appraisal of data.


 

·         Plans and controls activities of assigned staff.

·         Design operational plans adhering to and setting technical geophysical standards.

·         Offers technical guidance to subordinate contracted companies and introduces new geophysical techniques .

·         Participates in evaluation of technical bids of Geophysical services activities.

·         Control and supervise the seismic interpretation using workstation or using other method.

Geophysics Section Head

 

A- 09-03

·         B.Sc. in Geophysics, Geology or equivalent.

·         Minimum 5 years’ detailed geophysical operations experience in the seismic field work and the processing of geophysical data.

·         Experience work  in WS


 

·         Conduct seismic  interpretation mapping on WS

·         Produce proposed drilling location.

·         Produce  leads & Prospects inventory

·         Supervise geophysical studies and mapping work conducted by his subordinates.

·         Design 2D/3D seismic acquisition and processing parameters to  meet the in house company requirement .

·         Produce scope of works for the 2D/3D seismic acquisition.

Senior  Geophysicist

 

 

A- 09-04

 

·         B.Sc. in Geology or equivalent.

·         Minimum 7 years’ oil/gas industry exploration experience, including specific exposure to modern relevant technologies.

·         Experience in petrophysical evaluation using standard software

 

·         Produce geological input for the annual exploration drilling programs. Updates the database, well summary, formation tops, etc. with well site geological data.

·         Conduct post-drilling evaluation . 

·         Plans and supervises the activities of assigned geologists.

·         Evaluates prospects and leads, estimate resources and, assigned risk and rank of each prospect and lead. Provides geological information in well proposals and forwards proposals to operations group for execution.

·         Supervise and monitor drilling operation, follows up on study programs, recording progress and major G & G projects milestones.

Senior Petroleum Geologist

A- 09-05

 

 

·         B.Sc. in Geophysics, Geology or equivalent.

·         Minimum 6 years' oil industry exploration seismology experience, including specific exposure to modern acquisition and interpretation techniques and methodologies.

 


 

·         Supervises the geophysical studies carried out by the Geophysical Operations Section & performs supervisory functions.

·         Acts as a focal point for liaison and advice on all geophysical/seismic activities, coordinating studies, developing seismic management procedures and ensuring that seismic acquisitions and surveys meet the required inhouse and  international standards.

·         Receive and manage acquisition and processing of seismic geophysical data.

·          Reviews and  QC actual geophysical data, by providing independent analysis and comments.

BSc Degree in Engineering , Law, Business.

6 years experience in Contracts preparation, negotiation, tendering and award process in large organization.

Special skills in negotiating with high level consultants.

 

 

·         Ensures clarity and accuracy of scope of work.

·         Participates in formulating / receiving general terms and conditions, contracts / Material Requests (MR) and Service Requests (SR).

·         Formulates contracts with its full technical and commercial packages.

·         Participates in opening tenders / awards of contracts.

·         Participates in evaluating / best course action to achieve excellent performance / revision of performance of contractors.

Bachelor of Science degree in Safety, Engineering, or equivalent.

Minimum 10 - 15 years experience in safety and loss prevention in the oil and gas sector, with at least 3 years at the supervisory level.

Excellent knowledge of use of safety equipment and extensive experience in implementing safe work practices,

 

·         Supervises the implementation of the Company's HSE Management System, ensure the highest standards and to minimize accidents and pollution. 

  • To provide input and support for the safe conduct of work by personnel involved in operational activities.

 

  • Plans, co-ordinates and supervises the day-to-day HSE activities.

Bachelor of Science degree in Safety or Engineering, or equivalent.

Minimum 5-10 years experience in HSE in the oil and gas sector.

Excellent knowledge of the use of safety equipment and an understanding of safe work practices.

·     Coordinate  HSE information, support and mentorship to Operations personnel and other internal clients to ensure the conduct of safe and hygienic work practices

·        Control document and record of HSE such as emergency procedures, HSE manuals, bulletins and other safety publications.

·         Maintain and follow-up HSE training plan and matrix .

8-10 years experience in Finance and Accounting functions in large industry.

  • Plans, coordinates and supervises the activities of the Management accounts and financial accounts sections.

  • Ensures payment of different payroll on time.

·         Evaluates / selects equipment / material and draws technical scope of work.

·         Minimum Secondary education with 2 years Diploma in Technical field.

Minimum of 5-7 years experience in Drilling operations on Rig 2 years of which must be as a drilling Supervisor.

 

 

·         Supervises operational and technical activities on the Drilling rig.

·         Ensures implementation of the Rig / well program in close contacts with Exploration Team.

·         Prepares the daily schedule and monitors costs / time of each activity on the Rig.

·         Monitors operations and ensures adherence by contractors to Safety regulations to protect manpower, equipment and environment

Degree in Business Administration / Law

4-6 years experience in HR work in large organization (Oil &Gas as advantage).

Special skills of knowledge of applicable Government Law, Computerized HR systems.

 

·         Performs the application of the Company HR policy includes:

·         Controls the processing of all personnel administration activities such as, Promotions, all types of Leaves, Overtime

·         Keeps proper custody of personal records.

·         Participates in disciplinary activities.

·         A university graduate in computer related subjects or electrical or electronics BSc.

·         At least 4 years experience in network administration.

·         Preferred MCSE, CCNA or/and RHCT or equivalent.

·         7 years' experience in documentation work    with a thorough knowledge of applicable Government laws, regulations and procedures.

 

 

 

 

·         Supervises and participates in preparing and processing applications for visas (single entry, multiple entry and work visas).  Follows up on all applications with the relevant ministries to ensure the timely processing and completion of formalities.

 

·         Receives from supervisor a list of Company Employees, Company Officials and guests arriving and/or leaving Khartoum.  Checks dates, ETA of flights and ensures that all documentation regarding visas are in hand and complete.

·         B.S.c in secretary studies or equivalent

§  3-4 years’ experience in general secretarial work in a petrochemical industry.  Computer literacy in Microsoft, Word, Word Processing, Excel, Power Point etc.

 

·         Ability to type English at 50 w.p.m. and Arabic at 40 w.p.m.

 

 

·             Takes dictation and transcribes material from shorthand into      typed material for manager’s review.

 

·         Uses a word processor/typewriter and types in English/Arabic and proofreads letters, telexes, telefaxes and reports.  Arranges copying and distributes/dispatches as necessary.

 

·         Files documents, correspondence and other records related to the activities of assigned Department.  Maintains files and locates and retrieves items from files.

·         Participates in the design of continuing development training programs for trainees that show potential for growth.  Includes on-the-job training, cross posting, job rotation and external seminars/training programs.  Reviews test scores of trainees, discusses with instructors any follow up action required.
